Whatever your reason for determining the value of your business, we can help. The Casco Group works with leading valuation companies who assure you of receiving a fair, unbiased determination of what the business is worth on the open market.

When selling a business, the valuation will provide you with a specific sale price along with a justification for this sale price. This price is not what you, The Casco Group, your attorney or your accountant thinks the business is worth but, rather, what the business is actually worth on the open market.

The specific reason for the business valuation and the size of the company will determine the depth of analysis and the amount of research required to deliver a credible estimate of value; however, the valuation process always involves research, financial analysis and consideration of many elements that drive the value.

You will be asked to provide financial information, including: three years’ tax returns and financial statements (including all accounting notes), and the latest interim statement. Extensive general business information will also be needed.

A summary of your completed valuation, along with your real estate appraisal, can be made part of the “confidential memorandum” we will use should we be engaged to sell your business.

Remember, that regardless of the final valuation, you can ask any price you want when selling your business.
